About The Wine

Amarone della Valpolicella is the heavyweight champion of Veneto — appassimento-dried grapes that yield dark, concentrated, powerful wines with a richness most reds can't touch. This is the kind of wine that commands the table, fills the glass, and still tastes balanced because the structure is there to carry it.

Tasi's vineyard sits in an old limestone quarry in Val d'Illasi, near Verona — a site that once fed a cement factory and now feeds vines with mineral-rich soil left behind by centuries of extraction. The Colli Euganei hills nearby add volcanic soils — lava, magma, clay, and chalk — giving the fruit a fresh, mineral edge underneath all that dried-fruit density. It's the kind of terroir detail that actually shows up in the glass.

The 2016 vintage is one of the stellar years for Amarone — wines that balance the category's signature richness with more elegance, more structure, less raisin-bomb, more finesse. This bottle delivers intense ruby red color, scents of ripe cherry and wild berries with spice, and a palate that's full-bodied, crunchy, dry and soft at once. Firm tannins, long acid, exceptional balance — the kind of texture that keeps you coming back to the glass.

Corvina-led Amarone from hand-harvested grapes, dried for about three months, fermented naturally in steel, then aged three to four years in large, old oak barrels. Tasi's own description is body and elegance with a surprising drinkability.
