The Schrader name is synonymous with an outstanding, high-scoring Napa Valley Cabernet that is very limited and very expensive. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has made so many 100 pt and near-perfect wines, we've lost count. The T6 is a masterclass on a single clone expression. This wine is made entirely from Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. This clone does an exceptional job at producing tiny, deeply concentrated grapes. The final wine is in turn deeply concentrated and full of complexity. 

There is not much to be said about Schrader that hasn't already made headlines. Fred Schrader, an art and antiquity trader, attended the Napa Valley wine auction in the late '90s. He fell in love with Napa and then met Andy Beckstoffer and Thomas Rivers Brown. From that time, they sourced outstanding fruit from the To Kalon vineyard and set the wine world ablaze with some of the most sought after, collectible and delicious Napa Valley Cabernets ever created.

Tasting Notes: The 2018 Schrader T6 offers an immense profile of mixed berry concentrate overlaid with exotic and savory spices and graphite that showcase the distinct character of clone 6 Cabernet. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon T6 offers more minerality as well as a touch of iron and black olive along with impressive red and black fruits, full body, and a beautiful elegance with time in the glass. Schrader’s T6 comes from Beckstoffer’s To Kalon vineyard in Oakville, produced from clone 6 grown on the D2 block. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a deep purple-black color and fantastically fragrant notions of stewed plums, lilacs, chocolate box and Indian spices, over a core of blackcurrant pastilles, unsmoked cigars and menthol. The full-bodied palate has a beautiful structure of very fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, supporting the voluptuous black fruit flavors, finishing long and savory.
