About the Wine

Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a true cult classic among Napa Cabs. An exceptional wine that showcases the very essence of the renowned Napa Valley terroir.

This Cabernet Reserve exemplifies the artistry and dedication of the winemaker, capturing the essence of Napa Valley in every bottle, and solidifying its cult status from the very first sip. Crafted from carefully selected grapes coming from celebrated vineyards, each with its unique personality and flavor profile, this wine is an exclusive and limited masterpiece of winemaking.

Renowned winemaker Julien Fayard uses his expertise to produce wines that express pure, terroir-driven specificities and characteristics. Julien gained his knowledge and defined his core winemaking style from working at grand Chateaux in France such as Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte.

Beau Vigne flies under the radar as a “hidden gem” and small boutique winery producing only a few thousand cases a year. Fans and critics alike flock to the winery for its outstanding wines and genuine hospitality including famed critic Robert Parker who refers to Beau Vigne as “one of my favorite wineries.”

Beau Vigne’s wines are highly esteemed and cherished among some of the world’s most important winemakers, and they have achieved numerous high-accolades. Today, they are considered among Napa Valley’s most acclaimed wines.

Reviews

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Series Reserve is deep garnet-purple in color. It charges out with pronounced blackcurrant jelly, black cherry preserves, and blueberry pie scents, plus suggestions of menthol, mocha, and fragrant earth. The full-on, full-bodied palate is bursting with rich, seductive black fruits, supported by firm, ripe, grainy tannins, finishing long with mineral notes coming through. ~95+ The Wine Independent

Another ripe yet balanced, opulent wine under this label, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Series Reserve is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Ripe plums, cassis, tobacco, and chalky minerality all define the aromatics, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful tannins, and a rich, concentrated, yet surprisingly graceful and balanced style. This big, sexy, hedonistic bomb of a wine should evolve for 15 years or more. ~95 Jeb Dunnuck

A rich yet perfumed nose, full of blackberries, dark chocolate, violets and some pencil lead. A round, concentrated and juicy palate, with volume and fullness and plenty of blackberries to load the firm tannins. Drink or hold. ~93 James Suckling

Beau Vigne's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve delivers classic cassis notes accented by hints of baking spices. A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, it's full-bodied, even a bit chocolaty-ripe, with supple tannins and a long, velvety finish. It's a fine effort. ~92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
