The Frisson story begins with a shared dream between owner Terry Davis and winemaker Wayne Donaldson when they united their vision to craft exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Driven by their passion, they ventured into winemaking, determined to create wines that embody Napa Valley's magic and Sonoma County's grace.
Terry's journey from dreaming about wine to actually creating it highlights his strong determination. After retiring, he enthusiastically embraced winemaking, turning his dreams into reality.
Wayne Donaldson’s global winemaking journey led him to Napa Valley. His dedication to crafting wines mirroring vineyard character makes him a heart of Frisson. He works hand in hand with Paul Colantuoni, a very talented winemaker who blends Old World sophistication with New World exuberance. His extensive experience in both Europe and the US shaped his uniqueness.
The Cabernet originates from Falcon Ranch and Dry Creek, two high-quality vineyards where even top estates like Verite source their fruit. The ultra-premium fruit source to construct this masterpiece is all set to delight your palate, lingering even after the last sip. Ready?
Tasting Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. A red dark color with bright red reflection fill the glass as dark and red fruits sing across the nose. This gives way to dark cherry and blackberry sensations on the palate with a vivid medium to full palate and a solid tannin structure underlining a chewy, yet silky finish.
