About the Wine

Domaine Faiveley, a renowned name in Burgundy, stands tall as one of the largest and most esteemed estates, celebrated for its exceptional red wines crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. What makes this offer truly unique? It's a debut appearance in our selection, and the reason is simple: We've secured a direct import partnership with Burgundy's most prestigious winery. However, here's the twist: It's an exceedingly limited opportunity with astonishing pricing. Our Advise? ACT FAST

In 1825, Pierre Faiveley founded the firm that now bears the name Domaine Faiveley. At that time, the firm was a classic négociant, buying and selling wine. But from generation to generation, with a strong commitment to the quality of Burgundy’s patrimony, the Faiveley family has purchased vineyards and is today among the largest owners of classified vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise with holdings totaling 331 acres, of which 30 acres are Grand Crus and 67 acres are premiers crus.

On October 15, 2013, Domaine Faiveley reported it had acquired 50 acres of vines previously owned by Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot of Gevrey-Chambertin, including parts of the Grands Crus Charmes-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin and Le Rognet et Corton and Premiers Crus Lavaux St.-Jacques, Les Cazetiers and La Petite Chapelle.

Faiveley’s white wines are both silky and powerful. They bring together purity, tension, and minerality. It all starts with hand-harvested grapes, carefully sorted upon arrival at the Domaine. After the initial fermentation, the wine spends a 13 to 15-month maturation journey in oak barrels. These barrels rest in century-old cellars, providing the perfect cradle for the wines to mature gracefully. The proportion of new oak used varies with each vintage but typically makes up around one-third of the final blend. These barrels hail from esteemed cooperages, selected with precision for their fine grain and delicate toasting. It's a process designed to craft wines of utmost quality and finesse.

Aging: 13 to 15 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

100% Chardonnay. The attractive aromas of white and yellow fruits mix with light woody notes. On the palate, this wine meets up to the expectations of its aromas: It has a round and full attack before the vanillafy and toasty tastes reveal themselves. Good long-lasting aromas.
