About the Wine

Trimbach is one of the Top Alsace producers. They produce the highest-quality premium Riesling and Gewurztraminer wines, which constantly achieve great accolades. This Maison is crafting some of the most exceptional white wines in the world.

Wine Spectator said, “In Alsace, although most wines tend to be dry and fuller-bodied than their German counterparts, Trimbach's house style is quite the opposite: graceful and intense, with an austere character.” 

This Maison has been around since the 16^th century when the Trimbach family arrived from Switzerland. Twelve generations of disruptive winemakers have impregned their expertise into Trimbach. Today, Pierre Trimbach, an enologist who graduated from Beaune, is leading this world-renowned estate.

Trimbach’s location couldn’t be more perfect. Its semi-continental weather brings extreme temperatures, with very cold winters, which are optimal for high-quality Riesling to thrive. The soil is composed of marl-limestone-sandstone and shell limestone (Muschelkalk), which gives Trimbach's wines a remarkable personality. 

The 140-acre vineyard is planted with vines of 45 years of age on average. They’re distributed in some of the best terroirs in Alsace: Ribeauvillé, Bergheim y Hunawihr. Each of them provides different and exciting characteristics to the wines.

​Trimbach’s vineyards are managed under sustainable practices and certified by the HVE3. For more than 10 years, they’ve been doing fully organic viticulture.

Made from carefully selected ripe grapes from the villages of Ribeauvillé and Hunawihr, this Reserve showcases a harmonious blend of minerality and fruit with a well-defined structure that promises longevity. Trimbach's top vineyards in Alsace are evident in this wine, which will continue to evolve and gain complexity for at least ten years.

Super-ripe lemon, fresh pineapple and herb aromas pour from the glass of this medium-bodied, concentrated and sophisticated dry riesling. Completely dry, with excellent balance at the long, very clean finish. 100% estate fruit from Ribeauvillé and Bergheim. Drink or hold. ~94 James Suckling

This wine has intense, savory petrol aromas that are pleasantly gritty and backed by a subtle hint of talc. It's quite savory and acidic on the palate, a mix of slate, fresh chives and lemon juice that's delicious. The long finish is reminiscent of sour apple. Serve this with a cheeseboard as both accent and palate cleanser. ~94 Wine Enthusiast
