"Aromas of currants, blackberries, fresh flowers, violets and sandalwood follow through to a medium body with very fine tannins. A refined, sophisticated and beautiful finish. Reserved at the end. A blend of 70% sangiovese, 20% cabernet sauvignon and 10% cabernet franc. From organically grown grapes. Needs two or three years to come together." ~ 94 James Suckling
"The Castello di Bossi 2021 Corbaia is 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from clay and tufo-rich soils. This organic wine shows lots of spice and toast. The tannins are on the dry side, and the mouthfeel remains plush and somewhat rich throughout with dark fruit and plum. The wine goes into barrique for 24 months, followed by six months in bottle. Production is 15,000 bottles." ~ 92 Wine Advocate

What the Critics Said
THE PRODUCER
Castello di Bossi
The earliest architectural evidence of the estate dates back to 1099, when the original medieval tower was built. In 1478, it was destroyed by Florentine troops. The castle passed into the hands of the Ricasoli family, then the Ugurgieri family. The current appearance of the castle dates back to the Grand Ducal era, when it was redesigned with a square layout as a fortified villa. In 1984, Castello di Bossi was acquired by the family of Marco Bacci, who still owns it today. The first tower of the castle dates back to 1099. In 1450 the structure took the form of a quadrilateral fortification. The estate is located in the south of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Today the estate extends over 500 hectares, of which 120 are cultivated with vineyards, with an average altitude of 350 meters above sea level.
