About The Wine

Abeja sits in the foothills of Washington's Blue Mountains, a century-old farmstead turned winery estate surrounded by 38 acres of creeks, gardens, and vineyards. Since 2002, the family has built a reputation for wines that balance richness with precision — bottles that drink well above their price point and outperform competitors twice the cost.

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon at this level is where Washington proves it can stand with Napa — mountain fruit, structured tannins, and the kind of depth that ages gracefully without demanding a decade in the cellar. Abeja's 2022 captures all of it: the concentration, the frame, the finish that keeps unfolding.

95 points from Owen Bargreen. $56.99 for a six-pack. That's under $10 a bottle for a wine with the bones to cellar and the balance to drink tonight.

CRITIC REVIEWS

What the Critics Said

The outstanding 2022 Abeja 'Columbia Valley' Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Wahluke Slope, Walla Walla Valley, White Bluffs AVAs. It has 9% Merlot 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot blended in and was stored in 40% new French oak barrels for 20 months before bottling in August 2024. This is loaded with dense dark fruits, with Arabica bean, red bell pepper and sagebrush accents on the palate. Considering the vintage, this has terrific flavor density. Drink 2025-2042. ~95 Owen Bargreen
