2024 Bouchard Pere & Fils Meursault Genevrieres Premier Cru Burgundy 6pk 6x750ml

Founded in 1731 in Beaune, Bouchard Pere & Fils is among Burgundy's oldest and most prestigious houses, and it has held the legendary Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus vineyard since 1791. Nearly three centuries of continuity don't happen by accident.

Genevrieres sits mid-slope in Meursault and is one of the village's most celebrated Premier Crus, prized for Chardonnay that marries richness with a mineral, saline edge.

2024 was one of the hardest Burgundy vintages in years. Spring and summer brought roughly double the usual rain, flowering was cold and wet, and mildew pressure never let up. Chardonnay flowered earlier and fared better than Pinot Noir, but yields across the Cote de Beaune were still well below average. Then the weather turned around September 10, and the grapes came in at good ripeness with bright acidity. There is very little of it.

Expect the Genevrieres signature: white flowers and honeysuckle, a creamy start, then a straight, saline line through the finish. Give it a few years in the cellar.
