Owned by Thibaut and Magali Decoster, this estate traces its roots to the 1700s, though the modern era began in 2004 when the Decosters took over the iconic Clos des Jacobins. The Decosters’ commitment to quality, alongside expert guidance from renowned consultants like Hubert de Boüard of Château Angélus, has significantly raised the profile of this exceptional vineyard.
Saint-Émilion itself is one of Bordeaux’s most revered regions, known for its limestone-rich terroir and the meticulous care lavished on its Grand Cru wines. The region’s Grand Cru designation is a step above regular Saint-Émilion wines, ensuring the highest quality with stricter production standards. 2022 was an extraordinary vintage for Bordeaux, it was blessed with a 95-98 pt review by Wine Spectator who said: "A beautiful vintage. Merlot berries were small and concentrated; Cabernet Franc also relished the conditions. Wines are very aromatic and sleek, with Pomerol and St.-Emilion excelling"
