Schrader Cellars is one of the most awarded wineries in the history of American wine. The Schrader name is synonymous with outstanding, high-scoring Napa Valley Cabernet that is very limited and very expensive. Wappo Hill Vineyard, nestled in the famed Stags Leap District and first planted in 1969, yields a captivating expression of Napa Cabernet from 100% Clone 685. Sourced from hillside vines rooted in gravelly, well-drained clay-loam soils, these grapes bask in warm afternoon sun, cooled by gentle mornings and evenings—a perfect recipe for deeply flavored fruit with remarkable acidity. This wine brims with blackberry and red cherry, layered with briary aromas, delicate baking spice, floral notes, and hints of dusty earth. It’s a stunning Napa Cabernet that showcases immense power, refined elegance, and a polished, enduring finish.

There is not much to be said about Schrader that hasn't already made headlines. Fred Schrader, an art and antiquity trader, attended the Napa Valley wine auction in the late '90s. He fell in love with Napa and then met Andy Beckstoffer and Thomas Rivers Brown. From that time, they sourced outstanding fruit from the To Kalon vineyard and set the wine world ablaze with some of the most sought-after, collectible, and delicious Napa Valley Cabernets ever created.
