Flawlessly ripe blackberry and mulberry flavors introduce this decadent yet elegant blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Pure and intent in fruit profile, it's a juicy, thirst-quenching red that's full bodied but fresh and sprightly. A glimpse of crushed stone and fine, furry tannins extend the finish. It's delicious young but should hold through 2025. ~91 Wine Enthusiast
Baked plum and leafy nose. The palate is quite chewy and robust with a good tannin structure and excellent length. ~90 Decanter

THE PRODUCER
Cellier des Chartreux
Cellier des Chartreux is a cooperative winery located near Avignon, straddling the historic crossing point between Provence and Languedoc, on land originally drained by Carthusian monks in 1612, with the cooperative itself founded in 1929. It began with a handful of growers in Sauveterre before relocating to the village of Pujaut, and today brings together 81 winegrowers, farming roughly 720 hectares that produce Côtes du Rhône, Lirac, Tavel, and Côtes du Rhône Villages AOC wines. The vineyards span varied terroir — from clay-limestone plateaus with Châteauneuf-du-Pape-style rolled pebbles suited to structured reds, to chalky clay-loam plains ideal for aromatic whites and rosés — giving the cooperative's portfolio (including cuvées like the Chapelle Saint-Martin) real range across colors and styles while staying rooted in traditional Rhône blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre
