About the Wine
It's no surprise that Mendoza is one of the “New World's” favorite regions for some of the major wine critics and savvy wine drinkers in the world. The land of wine and asado won't disappoint any foodie that wants to adventure and discover amazing new wines. If that is your case, this wine is for you!
Lagarde is one of the oldest wineries in the Mendoza region with Malbec vines over 100 years old. The Pescarmona family acquired Lagarde in 1969. They quickly become a trendsetter by being the first Latin American producer to plant non-traditional varieties such as Viognier and Moscato Bianco.
Today the winery and estate are run by third-generation Pescarmonas, sisters Sofia and Lucila Pescarmona. Under their direction, Lagarde creates exceptional terroir character wines that reflect a strong sustainable commitment to the land and its people.
This organically grown rosé is a vibrant blend of Semillón and Malbec from the high-density vineyards of Mayor Drummond in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Crafted without oak and fermented with precision—white-wine style for the Semillón and short skin contact for the Malbec—this wine is all about freshness, purity, and vivid character. It’s a modern take on tradition with zero wood and maximum expression.
Tasting Notes
80% Malbec, 20% Semillón. In the glass, expect a pale rose-gold hue and aromas of apple slices, wild herbs, citrus zest, and a hint of red currant. On the palate, it's clean, concentrated, and full of energy—bright acidity, subtle spice, and a long, mouthwatering finish. A killer match for ceviche, Spanish tapas, Asian spice, or simply as your new go-to aperitif.
Critical Reviews
Elegant nose of grapefruit, citrus, strawberries and a touch of stone. Bone-dry on the palate with a medium body and a chalky, saline touch. Fresh and crisp with a concise, focused finish. A mixture of 20% rosado malbec and 80% semillon. Drink now. ~90 James Suckling
