About The Wine

Resonance is Maison Louis Jadot's first winery outside Burgundy — a 2013 venture that brought three centuries of Burgundian winemaking to the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The pedigree is real: Louis Jadot is one of the most respected names in white Burgundy, and this is their answer to Oregon.

The 2023 vintage marks the first year this bottling was made entirely from estate fruit — Resonance, Decouverte, and Home Ranch vineyards — after years of blending top Willamette sites. Sixteen months in 20% new French oak, Burgundian restraint applied to Oregon Chardonnay.

Decanter gave the 2023 vintage a 5/5 rating: “The wines that were made from the 2023 vintage in Oregon’s Willamette Valley are beautiful. There’s a grace and refinement stamped across them, from their aromatics to their polished finishes. And there’s a precocious nature to them, too: perfect for those without patience.”

In the glass: lush texture with steely acidity. Rich Asian pear, nectarine, lemon zest, with subtle jasmine and white peach on the nose. The kind of tension and precision you expect from whites twice the price. Wine Spectator called it "refined accents of apple, lemon verbena and stony mineral" and scored it 94 points.

CRITIC REVIEWS

What the Critics Said

This medium-bodied wine has subtle aromas of blond wood, wild honey, pine and Anjou pears. The palate is spicy and citrusy, with good concentration, energy and tension for a medium-bodied wine. The finish is clean, zesty and thirst-quenching. Drink or hold. ~ 94 James Suckling

Lush in texture yet steely with fresh acidity, this white offers refined accents of apple, lemon verbena and stony mineral while gliding on the fresh finish. Drink now. 1,937 cases made. ~ 93 Wine Spectator

This Willamette Valley Chardonnay bottling from Résonance is given 16 months in mostly neutral French oak, and it's sourced from a number of the Résonance estate sites throughout the Valley. White florals and notes of beeswax mark the aromatics, alongside a dash of sea salt minerality. The palate is signature, a balance of lemon pastry cream, juicy Meyer lemon and fleshy mango fruits. Taut through the finish. ~ 93 Decanter
