His son Julien has led the domaine for the past fifteen years, pushing the biodynamic work even further while keeping the cellar strictly hands-off: indigenous ferments, stainless steel, and nine months on fine lees to let the terroir do the talking.

The Domaine Saint-Claire bottling comes entirely from the Brocard family's organic parcels surrounding their winery in Prehy, from thirty-year-old vines rooted deep into Kimmeridgian limestone, clay, and fossilized oyster shells — the same chalk-and-shell soil that powers the Grand Crus a few miles north.
