A love letter to the spirit of the California Summer. Each wine is made in the signature Jayson Woodbridge style and has a range of expressions based upon the selection of unique micro-vineyard blocks, dappled across the Western Sonoma Coast of California. Made with Jayson Woodbridge acting as spiritual guide on a white winemaking journey with the very inspired and talented winemaker, Ashley Holland, on a holy quest for
the smallest and most exquisite little vineyards. 

For more than 25 years, Jayson Woodbridge has built a reputation as one of Napa Valley’s most uncompromising winemakers, earning over 61 perfect 100-point scores for his Bordeaux-driven wines under the Hundred Acre label. Precision, intensity, and an obsessive focus on site have always defined his work.

Over the last decade, that obsession led him west. Drawn to the raw beauty, extreme conditions, and singular soils of the West Sonoma Coast, Jayson began quietly sourcing fruit and experimenting outside of Napa, determined to explore what Chardonnay could become in a radically different environment. Rather than extending Hundred Acre, he chose to create an entirely new project, Summer Dreams, giving the wines their own identity and the freedom to evolve independently, focused purely on site expression, restraint, and nuance.

Sourced from the Heintz Vineyard and Summer Dreams Estate Vineyard. The hilltop vineyard sites, in some of the oldest blocks, consist of clay content that helps the soil retain precious moisture during the growing season and produces a rich and round, fruit-driven Chardonnay with a crisp, mineral-rich mid palate and finish.

2024 Summer Dreams Chardonnay is tasted to determine what will go to stainless drums for élevage. 16 months in French Oak (64% new) puncheons. At 11 months, each barrel is tested and a selection of the wine racked into stainless drums for the remainder of élevage

2024 was relatively mild, with rainfall coming in early December and again in January, providing a good foundation of moisture for the season ahead. The spring saw a consistent budbreak, with slightly warmer temperatures than usual, encouraging early vine growth. The summer months were marked by moderate temperatures. By late August, our vineyards were being carefully managed to ensure the ideal timing of picking, aiming to capture peak ripeness before the onset of cooler weather.
