    About The Wine

Beau Vigne flies under the radar as a “hidden gem” and small boutique winery producing only a few thousand cases a year.

Fans and critics alike flock to the winery for its outstanding wines and genuine hospitality including famed critic Robert Parker who refers to Beau Vigne as “one of my favorite wineries.”

This is a house that built its reputation on small-lot Napa Cabernet — founded in 2002 by Ed and Trish Snider, and now owned by Charles Bartlett, a Napa trade veteran who's worked the valley since the late 1970s. The winemaker lineage runs from Dave Phinney to Kirk Venge to the current era under Julien Fayard, who trained at Château Lafite-Rothschild and Atelier Melka before becoming one of Napa's most sought-after winemakers. Total production across the entire label is only about 4,000 cases a year.

The Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is what that team does when it turns to white: Oakville fruit — Cabernet country — picked for a wine meant to be drunk young and cold.

The 2025 is as fresh as Napa white gets right now. Chill it hard, open it on a warm evening, and drink it the way the winemaker intended: this year, not someday.

Beau Vigne’s wines are highly esteemed and cherished among some of the world’s most important winemakers, and they have achieved numerous high-accolades. Today, they are considered among Napa Valley’s most acclaimed wines.

    THE PRODUCER

    Beau Vigne

Established in 2002, Beau Vigne—French for "beautiful vineyard"—is a boutique winery nestled within Napa Valley's esteemed Atlas Peak appellation. Perched at 1,400 feet, the estate's prized vineyard flourishes in volcanic soils, yielding bold and luscious Cabernet Sauvignon that captures the essence of mountain-grown fruit. Over the years, Beau Vigne has garnered acclaim for its commitment to crafting influential luxury wines, with renowned winemakers such as Kirk Venge and Julien Fayard contributing their expertise. The winery's portfolio also includes prestigious red blends, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, sourced from Napa Valley's top vineyards. Visitors can experience these exceptional wines at the Maison Fayard tasting room, located at 1408 2nd Street in downtown Napa.

My wife and I tried the 2025 Beau Vigne Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Reserve for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. It was perfect for a warm sunny day, a bright, very clean wine with a bit of lemon citrus on the palate. Will order again!
