About The Wine

Bodega Lagarde is one of Argentina's most historic wineries, founded in 1897 in Mendoza's Lujan de Cuyo region. When the Pescarmona family acquired the estate in 1969, they became a trendsetter — the first Latin American producer to plant non-traditional varieties like Viognier and Moscato Bianco. Today, third-generation sisters Sofia and Lucila Pescarmona run the winery with a strong, sustainable commitment to the land.

This Dolce Moscato Spumante is made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes grown in the Perdriel and Agrelo subregions of Mendoza — a showcase of Lagarde's pioneering work with rare varietals in Argentina. The winery's Tupungato vineyard sits next to one of Argentina's finest Grand Cru sites, the Adrianna Vineyard, which consistently produces 100+ point wines above $100 a bottle. Lagarde delivers similar pedigree at a fraction of the price.

Aged without contact with wood, the wine presents a light greenish-yellow color with bright silver highlights and rich, persistent foam. The nose opens with flowers and fresh fruits — grape, apricot, citrus. On the palate it's bubbly and sweet with good acidity, delivering an intense yet fresh sensation at just 7.6% alcohol.

Pairs beautifully with shellfish, light appetizers, lean fish, or as an aperitif. You're getting Grand Cru neighbor pedigree, pioneering varietal work, and 128 years of Mendoza winemaking history in a glass that drinks well above its price.
