Already considered an outstanding, classic, and consistent vintage, 2016 Napa Cabs will draw a line in the sand as hallmarks of greatness. Cakebread gave winemaker Julianne Laks free rein to scour estate-owned ranches and family-owned vineyards across Napa Valley to find the perfect blend of grapes guaranteed to create a truly magnificent Cab.
- A bluechip Napa Cabernet
- Consistent & Delicious
- Always a welcome gift for anyone who loves wine
- End of drought in CA led to a near-perfect vintage, 98pt Vintage (WA)
Deep shades of purple, and rich dark-red hues, signal that this is a quintessential Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of ripe blackberry, boysenberry, dark chocolate and notes of oak precede balanced acidity and firm tannins. With forward fruit, and welcome mineral undertones, this is a perfectly balanced wine that is approachable now, yet will age beautifully. The grapes from throughout the valley that were farmed to make this wine, provide a natural diversity of flavors.
