Faccoli sits on the calcareous hills of Mount Orfano in Coccaglio, where Lorenzo Faccoli first planted vines in 1964. By 1983, sons Mario and Claudio stepped in and made a decisive call: focus entirely on sparkling wine. In 2000, they stopped still wine production altogether and committed the estate to Franciacorta—Italy's answer to Champagne, methode champenoise, serious aging, zero shortcuts.

This is their Brut, the house expression. Seventy percent Chardonnay, twenty-five percent Pinot Blanc, five percent Pinot Noir, grown on Mount Orfano's clay and limestone soils. Aged a minimum of eighteen months on the lees—longer than the DOCG requires—and the extra time shows. The wine builds texture and complexity without adding weight.

In the glass: intense straw yellow, alive with energy. The nose is unapologetically floral—tree blossom, lemon verbena, tarragon—then a shift to juicy fresh pear and dried apricot. The palate balances richness with drive: mineral, herbal, bright acidity holding a long finish of straw, yeast, and stone fruit.
