Tenuta Il Poggione's history and tradition dates from the end of the 19th century. The estate was one of the first wineries in Montalcino to bottle Brunello and it is one of the largest estates in area with over 1,400 acres. Given the size of the winery, it is amazing that this winery consistently produces on of the most sought after and awarded wines each vintage. 2013 was a four star vintage and the wines are enjoyable now and will improve with age.
