2002 David Fulton Petite Sirah Saint Helena Napa
About the Wine
The mainstay grape variety and distinctive wine of David Fulton Winery is Petite Sirah.
This signature wine, produced in limited quantities of just a few hundred cases annually, is a genuine treasure offered to those who appreciate this type of grape.
Situated a short four-block stroll to the east of downtown St. Helena, their charming vineyard features vines trained without trellises. The wine that is crafted from these mature vines, which are cultivated without irrigation, truly embodies the historical essence of Napa Valley.
With a deepened color and a complex aroma profile that could include notes of blackberry, plum, tobacco, leather, dried herbs, and cedar. Soft tannins and integrated acidity, result in a balanced and smooth texture. On the palate, you can expect flavors of dark fruits, cocoa, and subtle hints of vanilla from oak aging.
