About the Wine
2015 is a 95pt Vintage in Tuscany (per Wine Advocate). Across Europe, the wines are stunning. It's a vintage not to be missed. La Lastra is a traditional producer in one of the best regions for Sangiovese, the Colli Senesi located outside of Siena. This wine aged in French oak for 14 months. The nose has medium complexity, hints of red fruits, flowers, spices and minerals.
Blend: Sangiovese 95%, Canaiolo nero 3%, Malvasia bianca and Trebbiano 2%

This is like one of those Italian reds that you drink so happily out of a clay pitcher in a picturesque tavern in the Tuscan countryside.
