Five generation span the historic Hess estate, which was once the site of the Christian Brothers winery. The current family winery has been a pioneer in the Napa Valley since the 1970s. The winery has been a leader in sustainability and green certification. In 2018, the winery opened a small lot winemaking facility called Lions Head Cellar. An amazing history and an impressive team of four winemakers including Dave Guyffy, Alison Rodriguez, Stephanie Pope (Trefethen), and Randle Johnson (Mayacamas, Stag's Leap, Colomé), this is a winery that is constantly raising the bar. And this wine proves the phoenix is rising on Mt. Veeder.
