About the Wine  

This wine is not for the faint of heart. Showcasing an intense depth and full-body, you better come prepared. Cantina Valpantena has been producing wine for over 60 years and is currently at peak production quality. Made from a traditional blend of Amarone grapes this wine is a winner right now and will only improve over the next 10+ years. 

Founded in 1958 as a cooperative association between Veronese winemakers, the winery now groups together about 250 farms, which cultivate a total of about 750 hectares of vineyards, of which more than 30 are organic. This cooperative winemaking technique is as old as time, and the value that is added to small growers is nearly incalculable. Cantina Valpeantena is regularly on the receiving end of critical recognition from international wine publications. 

The successes obtained in the most important international wine competitions are the deserved recognition of this continuous research aimed at improving production and quality standards, together with all the company certifications, and not least with the trust and satisfaction of us as the final consumers. 

Tasting Notes: 60% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 20% Molinara. This wine sits a deep dark shade of a purple-ruby in the glass. On the nose, it evokes aromas of dried dark fruits and unsmoked cigars. The palate is intensely rich and decadent, a wine that will age beautifullly.
