By planting new selections of Nebbiolo in the prestigious Barolo area and employing families of clones rather than a single superclone, Matteo captures the nuanced essence of the Nebbiolo grape.

Matteo Ascheri's vineyards are managed according to sustainable agricultural principles, adhering to The Green Experience guidelines. His preferred rootstock, 420A, is chosen for its low vigour, allowing the fruit to mature longer on the vine, resulting in a later harvest and richer flavor profile. Matteo's innovative approach includes new pruning systems, careful canopy management, and rigorous green harvests, all contributing to the exceptional quality of his wines.

In the winery, Matteo Ascheri follows a philosophy of "non-intervention," avoiding excessive technological manipulation. Tasting Notes: 100% Nebbiolo. This wine boasts an intense garnet red hue. The nose reveals a rich bouquet of ripe fruit, candied fruit, tobacco, and sweet spices. On the palate, it’s beautifully balanced with excellent structure and fine, integrated tannins. Both elegant and powerful, this wine offers a refined yet robust experience.
