About the Wine
The surname Zuccardi has a well-deserved reputation in the wine industry worldwide. This family is not only responsible for producing some of the best Argentinian wines, but they also have the best wine tourism experience in the entire world: For the third consecutive year, Zuccardi Valle de Uco has been named "The Best Vineyard in the World" by the recognized magazine and digital media company, William Reed Business Medi.
This family business founded by engineer Alberto Zuccardi in 1963, has 6 different estates strategically placed in some of the best wine-growing areas of Mendoza. Today, it is directed by Sebastián Zuccardi, Alberto's grandson.
Sebastián is a visionary and innovative agronomist and winemaker who has made great strides and improvements since he took over the winery. Among other important achievements, he started and promoted a department of research and development that studies the terroir of the region, in order to better understand the land and improve the quality of their wines. Sebastian says: "We don’t look for perfect wines, but those that express the place, the region”.
The winery was built in 2013 and is a tribute to the majestic Andes mountains that surround it. Zuccardi Wines is sustainable in all aspects, from the vineyard to the cellar and even the architecture, where the construction is made with natural elements from the area. The wines are vinified in basins and amphoras allowing a more natural result and with the least possible human intervention.
Tito Zuccardi was a pioneer—an engineer, innovator, and passionate viticulturist whose legacy shaped modern winemaking in Mendoza. In 1963, he began planting vineyards not for wine, but to showcase a groundbreaking irrigation system he had developed for the desert climate. That experiment turned into a lifelong devotion to viticulture and the foundation of the Zuccardi family’s journey in wine.
Behind his composed exterior was an unshakable drive. As Sebastián Zuccardi puts it, “He had fire inside.” Tito introduced advanced vine training techniques, systems to combat frost and hail, and brought back traditional European varieties—Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Bonarda—that had nearly vanished from the region.
Tito Zuccardi, the wine, honours his legacy. Crafted from co-fermented grapes grown in Paraje Altamira, it reflects the spirit of a man who believed nothing was impossible. A wine without limits.

Critical Reviews
Super fresh, with bright aromas of crunchy red fruit, plush plum, heady violet, spiced liquorice, rosemary and thyme, while the palate is laced with elegant, fine grained tannins and lush fruit. Very serious, but at the same time cheerful and delicious! ~97 Decanter
Shows good depth of black cherries, scented violets, dried herbs, black licorice and cloves. A full-bodied malbec that shows tension on the palate, with fresh acidity and lots of dusty tannins. Nervy and nicely austere with a chalky finish. 85% malbec and 15% cabernet franc. Drink or hold. ~94 James Suckling
Despite the very warm year and the slightly higher alcohol (14.5%), the 2020 Tito Zuccardi feels impressively fresh and balanced with no heat or ripeness. They harvested earlier, and the wine is fine-boned and velvety, with more fruit than the 2019 or 2021 that I tasted next to it. Here the Malbec, which is the majority, is fermented together with the Cabernet Franc, and the two varieties feel very integrated together. This transcends the difficulties of the vintage. It finishes very tasty, almost salty. 24,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2021. ~93+ Robert Parker
The now-classic blend of Malbec (85% of the total is co-fermented this year) and Cabernet Franc, honoring the winery's founder, Zuccardi, has a delightful expression of ripe red fruits and hints of violets. On the palate, it feels impressive in tannins, as well as in concentration, and with soft herbal aromas that blend beautifully with the generous expression of fruit flavors. This red wine comes from 100% of their own vineyards in Paraje Altamira, south of the Uco Valley and at an altitude of over 1,100 meters. ~93 Descorchados Magazine
