About the Wine

Take a trip to the Veneto through this wine. A taste of Verona and Venice, perfect for winter warming and fireside sipping, this Amarone will transport you, even if you can't travel.

A BHW direct import, we only receive a tiny amount of this wine, most of which is allocated to people who have ordered it in the past. The reason is simple: Amarone is not unlike Burgundy or Napa Cabernet with escalating prices making it more of a luxury item, and it’s in high demand around the world.

Arduini is a multi-generational family affair that mirrors NE Italy with a fully modern style that blends with the traditional production. 

The grapes are left wither from the end of September to the end of January. Crush happens in January with soft destemming and a slow fermentation and maceration for 35 days. This wine ages for 12 months: part in French oak barrel and part in American barrel, and other 12 months in Slavonian oak barrel.

Tasting Notes

60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella, 5% Molinara. Ruby red color. Intense aromas on the nose. It has a soft and velvety texture with scent of dried grapes. Expect to find sour cherry, Christmas spices, black pepper, and cloves. The wine finishes with a chocolate mocha and toasted hazelnut that makes you want to not share this bottle. Pair this wine with wild game, spit, any stewed meat, and mature cheeses.
