Juicy and very vibrant, this Spätlese wants you to drop everything, pull down the blinds and relax with glass in hand. In the Mosel, grape sweetness and mineral acidity know how to dance the tango. Drink or hold. ~94 James Suckling

From vines planted in the early 1980s, the 2020 Zeltinger Schlossberg GG opens with a clear and coolish, flinty bouquet with dark and very delicate, crushed slate and iodine as well as fruit aromas. Round, lush and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, silky textured, dense yet fine and crystalline, stimulatingly tonic Schlossberg with fine, sustainably saline acidity and mineral tension. This is a mouth-filling yet clear and stimulating-finishing Schlossberg GG with a long aftertaste and rather coolish fruit. Not as exuberant and generous as so many 2020s are in the Middle Mosel. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. ~94 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
