Willy Gisselbrecht Cremant d'Alsace Brut "Emotion"
Willy Gisselbrecht is a family winery based in Dambach-la-Ville, on the Alsace wine route roughly halfway between Colmar and Strasbourg, with roots that trace back to the 17th century. Today the estate is a little under 40 acres, owned and farmed by the Gisselbrecht family, who've patiently expanded their holdings over generations while waiting for prized parcels — especially in the coveted Frankstein Grand Cru — to come available. The winery is best known for its two Grand Cru vineyards, Frankstein and Muenchberg, and for classic, varietal-driven Alsace whites, particularly Riesling. Vinification is traditional: large neutral oak and concrete fermentation tanks, gentle handling, and natural settling rather than aggressive filtration. Wines are also aged in the cellar for at least a year after bottling before release, reflecting the family's stated philosophy of prioritizing quality and maturity over quick turnaround.
