According to wine critic Jancis Robinson, the definition of Cru Bourgeois is the category down from classed growths, whose five divisions have been virtually set in stone since Bordeaux merchants ranked what they considered the top 60-odd châteaux back in 1855.”

Cru Bourgeois are some of the best value wines out there. These wines, which are born in the same regions as some of the world’s most emblematic wines, are crafted with the same esteemed Bordeaux Blend and have an enormous approachability, which means they can be enjoyed much earlier in life.

In other words, a Cru Bourgeois is what you need on a cozy Friday evening, your favorite TV show playing, with pizza in one hand, and a glass of an amazing Bordeaux in the other.

For that, we’ve got you covered with today’s stunning offer, the 95pt 2016 Chateau de Panigon Cru Bourgeois Medoc.

This wine is one to love, and wine critics and magazines think so too. It was blessed with 95-points by Decanter, who tells us that it’s “simply great,”,91 points by Gilbert & Gaillard, who say that this wine is “very promising,” and 90 points by Wine Enthusiast, stating that it has “good potential” and it should age great.

This wine comes from Château de Panigon, located in the beautiful Médoc appellation. The vineyard is managed under sustainable practices, and in 2016, it obtained the HVE label (high environmental value.)

This work of art is crafted by an expert winemaking team led by the man himself, Eric Boissenot. Eric is a legendary, well-respected winemaker who consults at forty of the 1855 Classified estates including Lafite, Margaux, Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Leoville Las Cases, and Ducru Beaucaillou.

This blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot shows an expressive and complex nose, with terrific aromas of cherry, raspberry, and subtle spices that blend into aromas of toasted brioche and tobacco leaf. The palate is very pleasant with volume and roundness. It has a long, elegant structure that adds sharpness and character. This distinguished wine is very generous and graceful.

Here's your chance to get a bottle (or 6 for free shipping) of this amazing 95pt Cru Bourgeois, coming from spectacular vintage, and under $25/bottle!
