An outstanding 95-point Bordeaux that shares a terroir with two of the most coveted Châteaux in Saint-Estephe, born in a 96-point vintage that Wine Spectator described with “terrific drive and definition,” and crafted by a 100-point winemaker. This, my friend, is today’s offer, the 2018 Chateau Meyney from Saint-Estephe.
This stunning wine has received a downpour of positive critical praise. James Suckling called it “Focused, chewy, and layered” in his 95-point review, Wine Enthusiast says it's “rich and structured, powered by solid tannins,” Decanter, stated that “this is great quality and should be long-lived.” And Antonio Galloni described it as a “Classy and layered wine that boasts fabulous depth and tons of character.”
It’s crafted by legendary winemaker Hubert de Bouard. Hubert is most known for being the winemaker of one of Saint-Emilion’s most prestigious estates, Chateau Angelus, he's produced multiple 100-point wines since his winemaking career began in 1985.
