97 Point Very High Quality Vintage Vinous Media: 2020 Aurore de Dauzac Margaux

Today’s wine is “the little brother of a Grand Vin.” In other words, it's the second wine of a renowned Bordeaux Classified Growth.

If you were not familiar with second wines, they are some of the best buys Bordeaux has to offer. They offer the same expression of Bordeaux's magnificent terroir and winemaking expertise as the flagship wine. They’re also approachable, ready to drink, and a couple (sometimes hundreds) of dollars less expensive than the older brother.

Meet the 2020 Aurore de Dauzac Margaux: Elegant, Charming, and Awarded 92 Points Three Times!

This wine isn't just pretty; it's an enchanting, approachable, and fun experience. Born in the exceptional 97-point vintage, as Vinous Media put it, 'An exceptional vintage for Bordeaux, certainly the best in the 2018-2020 trilogy. Quality is very, very high.'"

Château Dauzac has been around for nearly a century and has passed through the hands of prominent Bordeaux families. It was once owned by the owners of Second Growth Ducru-Beaucaillou (hence the jazzy and emblematic yellow label.) Today, this Château is owned by the successful French businessman, Christian Roulleau, who has brought on the expertise of winemaking Rockstar Éric Boissenot.

In a nutshell, here's the scoop: A triple 92-point Bordeaux Second Wine from a stellar 97-point vintage, crafted by winemaking legend Eric Boissenot (the genius behind 95% of BDX Grand Cru Classés, including Lafite, Margaux, Latour, and Mouton Rothschild).
