Our #1 Bestselling Napa Cab 6pk Shop Napa Cabs

Everything about the Holidays should be holly and jolly, but sometimes, at least when it comes to buying presents, it doesn’t feel like it.

We know it can be overwhelming when trying to shop for the boss, a friend, or a loved one. This year, Big Hammer Wines wants to avoid the Holiday-shopping panic and help you get it right. We asked our expert sommeliers, What bottles are you gifting for the Holidays? These were their top picks:

The Go-To Gift

Gifting Sparkling wine is always a win-win. Whether it is Cava, Prosecco or Crémant, you just can’t go wrong with bubbles! These two sparkling wines are perfect to suit any pocket:

Champagne Vieille France Brut by Charles de Cazanove

This Champagne is unique in style and design, reminiscent of centuries-old-tradition with the original Champagne bell-shaped bottle. This Family Reserve Brut Champagne leaves a wonderful feeling of volume, fullness and freshness on the palate. The wine makes the perfect Apéritif and pairs well with all things Christmas!

2009 Louis Dousset Assemblage Grand Cru Brut

With meticulous care in the vineyard, biodynamic and sustainable methods, a traditional winemaking process with modern and innovative technology, and a lot of patience during the aging process, the Dousset family keeps crushing it!

For the Wine-Nerd in the Family

We all have that wine geek in the family or close circle, and if you don’t have one, then its probably you! But not to worry, we can guarantee that with these wines, you will impress even the most demanding wine conneseours.

2020 Domaine Claude Manciat 'Courtelong' Pouilly-Fuisse

This wine is lights out from start to finish. It opens up with subtle notes of green apple, dried apricot, lemon rind, white flowers, celery root, and roasted hazelnuts. It's richly concentrated, complex, and fully of charm. This is the perfect Holiday wine that will quench your thirst for charismatic and complex white Burgundy at a ground breaking price.

2016 Scopone Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG

One of the wines that shine particularly bright from the legendary 2016 vintage, is Scopone's Brunello di Montalcino. This wine is a real treat. It was awarded 94 points not once, but twice, with Wines Critic calling it "Exceptional" and stating that "it confirms the greatness of an extraordinary vintage at Montalcino."

2018 Heir Apparent Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley

Heir Apparent is spearheaded by ambitious Dwight Bonewell. Through his vision, Dwight has created an Ultra-Luxury Napa Cab that sources fruit from some of Napa's most prized vineyards. The 2018 Reserve is a blend of fruit from Rutherford, Mt. Veeder, and St. Helena; most notably sourced from vineyards next door to Scarecrow and Cakebread. You can pay hundreds of dollars for a bottle of Scarecrow or Cakebread or you can seize the moment and capture this magnificent bottle of Cabernet available for a fraction of the original SRP!

Ho-Ho-Ho Bordeaux

Ah! Bordeaux. A region we are all love. These wines will be your perfect ally for any Holiday dinner. They will pair beautifully with anything on your Christmas table. These are our top picks:

2018 Chateau Maillet Pomerol

Pomerol needs no introduction. This majestic wine region, located on the right bank of Bordeaux, holds some of the most formidable wines in the entire world. Just half a mile away from Petrus, you'll find Pomerol's hidden gem, Chateau Maillet, an out-of-this-world Château that shares terroir with one of the single most important estates in the universe. James Suckling calls this superb 2018 Pomerol a "classic beauty" in its 94 point review.

2020 Vieux Chantecaille Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Vieux Chantecaille is located in Saint Emilion Grand Cru, just over 1 mile from world-renowned Château Cheval Blanc. If you know how well regarded this estate is, you have an idea of the ideal terroir that Chantecaille enjoys and will be enticed by the price. This is an extremely high-quality wine at a ridiculous price. One of our best-value Saint Emilion Grand Crus ever.

Don’t Want to Spend the Big Bucks?

Whoever said that you have to spend an arm and a leg for good wine, was completely mistaken. These are the perfect example that a luscious wine can be affordable too.

2018 Mannucci Droandi Chianti Ceppetto Alto DOCG

Ceppetto Alto is a Big Hammer Wines exclusive label. It is highly allocated. Adored by major wine critics who have granted it multiple 90+ reviews, including James Suckling who said this is a "fruity and savory" Chianti and WinesCritic describing its "excellent quality and brightness."

2018 Chateau Montfollet Icone Blaye Cotes De Bordeaux

This Bordeaux is one to love. Andreas Larsson (named the best sommelier in the world in 2007 by the AIS) spoke highly about this wine in its 92pt review. This wine is the icon of its place, the embodiment of the dedication, passion, and experience of its winegrower. It is selected from the year's best parcels.

2021 Tenute Piccini Prima Festa Primitivo Di Manduria DOC

The Piccini family has tenderly worked their vines since 1882, starting with a small estate with little more than 17 acres of vineyards, now grown to over four estates, located in some of the most emblematic wine regions in all of Italy. Their passion for quality and authenticity has given them a name that is one of the best-known in Italy. This 100% Primitivo shows bright cherry aromas, perfectly intertwined with chocolate and clove notes. And a subtle touch of vanilla, and tobacco. Lingering finish of sweet licorice and figs. This wine is a true "Festa"!

Ready to Impress

Looking to impress a certain someone? You name it: The boss, the hubby or wife, the partner’s parents. You can calm now, these wines will make you look GOOD:

2019 Cerro Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

This wine is one of the greatest values in Napa Cab available today and it’s from the 2019 vintage that Bloomberg declared “near perfect.” Producer, Derek Beitler’s star is on the rise, and his wines, particularly this Napa Cab. Derek produced just 220 cases, and we have secured a significant portion of that for BHW clients like you. Don't graze or wander. Jump on this micro-production wine ASAP.

2018 Corte Medicea Eklektos Super Tuscan

Eklektos embraces the modern style of winemaking as 10% of the grapes are harvested late in order to obtain the rich, sweet blueberry fruit that defines many Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. People who love the wines of Orin Swift and Caymus will find an Italian friend here.
